The mrdh™ is a quick solution for control of
severe bleeding in the surgical environment.
Description
mrdh™is a soft, white, sterile, non woven, lyophilized pad of a cellulosic polymer isolated from microalgae (poly-N-acetylglucosamine). It is attached to gauze and packaged in a sterile blister pack.
Indications and Use
mRDH Bandage™ is a trauma dressing intended for the temporary control of severely bleeding wounds such as surgical wounds (operative, post operative, donor sites, dermatological, etc.) and traumatic injuries.
mrdh™ is intended for use to control bleeding resulting from severe trauma.
Perform the following steps to use mrdh™:
- Open blister pack.
- Place mrdh™ on open wound, with active side toward wound surface.
- Apply firm hand compression until bleeding stops.
- If the dressing becomes completely soaked through, apply another dressing over the first and continue pressure.
TO REMOVE:
Soak mrdh™ with sterile saline and gently peel away.
